Anguilla is a tiny island paradise located 150 miles east of Puerto Rico.
It is known for it's 12 miles of sandy-white beaches, and it's crystal clear
waters. Anguilla appeals to people with a wide variety of backgrounds and
interests. For those who enjoy nature, Anguilla's salt ponds will be particularly
interesting. Here can be found many species of tropical birds. Visistors may also
enjoy Anguilla's cultural heritage, which comes in the form of salt- picking at
Sandy Ground, boat racing, which is the national sport, nd the Carnival celebrations
which occour during the first week of August every year.
Nightlife in Anguilla is excellent. For example, every Thursday night at the La
Sirena Hotel, there is a Mayoumba Folkloric Theatre presentation. This taste of
