About the Author

Despite the fact that the TI-83 Plus Tutor was written by Chuck Sterner from WatchMe Ware, this project would’ve never been possible without the cooperation of Connie Hughes, Renee Hartshorn, Alva Farmer, Emily May and June Paci from Texas Instruments, Inc.

After teaching high school mathematics and computer science for five years, new initiatives intrigued Chuck to further pursue the integration of technology in the math classroom. At the dawn of graphing calculators, Chuck returned to Michigan State University to begin work on his Masters degree in Mathematics Education. With a focus on technology, Chuck found his research to be immediately useful in his next position as Assistant Director of the Math Workshop at Wittenberg University. By integrating graphing calculators with bits and pieces of computer tutorials, Chuck successfully created an self paced Intermediate Algebra course that relied solely on technology for all of its instruction. With the advent of authoring languages, he soon was able to replace needed software with his own publications. Due to the success of these pursuits, Chuck left teaching to assemble his own software company, WatchMe Ware. With over twenty international publications created to support math books for publishing companies, Chuck now publishes his work independently at www.WatchMeWare.com.
